NNOCCI Leadership
NNOCCI is led by a governing structure with an elected Board of Directors and volunteers serving on committees and teams.
The Governing Council is responsible for planning and executing NNOCCI’s strategic direction and priorities, making network-wide decisions and policies on behalf of all network members, and serving as NNOCCI ambassadors to broader constituencies. We are guided by our goals to sustain, deepen, and expand the network.

Science & Evaluation Committee
The Science & Evaluation Committee is responsible for deepening the scientific content of our network members and sustaining relationships between our scientists and science communicators. This Committee also works to better understand and advance NNOCCI’s impact in shifting the national discourse on climate change toward a more positive, civic-minded, and solutions-focused message.
Communications Committee
The Communications Committee helps the network grow by sharing NNOCCI’s message, research, and hope to a broader, external coalition of climate communicators and sustaining our connection to each other by supporting internal communication efforts such as the network newsletter and webinars.
Membership Engagement Committee
The Membership Engagement Committee sustains and deepens the NNOCCI network by facilitating participation in the network to ensure a community-driven sustainable system.
Training Committee
The Training Committee is responsible for expanding NNOCCI’s footprint through oversight of our training programs and resources that grow and support a network of well-trained climate change communicators.
JEDI Committee
The JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion) Committee is a team of passionate social and climate advocates who work across committees to help the NNOCCI community become more diverse, inclusive, and accessible internally, and to deepen and enrich our trainings with a human-centered focus on the links between climate change and social and environmental justice and equity.
